A New Jersey school district faced a second bomb threat within two days, prompting authorities to take precautionary measures and investigate the situation.

Marlboro Township Schools, which serves nearly 5,000 students from pre-K to 8th grade, initially opted for a delayed school opening as authorities looked into the threat.

Threat Details:

The nature of the threat wasn’t explicitly disclosed, but it was described as similar to the one received the previous day.

Despite being labeled as “low credibility,” authorities took the threat seriously and conducted sweeps of the buildings, which yielded no evidence of danger.

Response and Investigation:

The district’s superintendent emphasized collaboration with law enforcement to ensure the safety of the school community. All schools were thoroughly checked and cleared before students arrived. The investigation remains ongoing, with Marlboro officials working closely with local law enforcement agencies.

The threats occurred shortly after a contentious school board meeting, during which allegations of inappropriate conduct by an educator were raised.

The proximity of these incidents adds complexity to the investigation but underscores the importance of addressing safety concerns promptly.

Similar Incidents Elsewhere:

The Trenton Board of Education also reported a bomb threat investigation on the same day, leading to evacuations as a precautionary measure.

People were allowed to return after authorities conducted thorough checks with bomb-sniffing dogs.
