The buzz surrounding the trailer intensified when fans recalled Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s visit to Wrexham AFC in August. 

The duo, who share ownership of the football club, celebrated Wrexham’s return to the Football League after a 15-year absence.

Both Wrexham supporters and superhero enthusiasts are abuzz with anticipation for the third installment of Deadpool, especially if rumors about the familiar face in the trailer hold true. 

Reynolds teased fans by sharing the trailer on Instagram with a playful caption, sparking speculation and excitement.

Clues in the Trailer

In the trailer, keen-eyed viewers noted a scene featuring Wolverine at a bar, with another figure standing in the background. The individual bears a striking resemblance to a certain Wrexham striker, with tall stature, dark hair, and a distinctive beard.

Connection to Wrexham AFC

The player in question, Palmer, joined Wrexham from AFC Wimbledon in January 2022. Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, creator of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” acquired Wrexham AFC in February 2021. 

Under their ownership, the team achieved back-to-back promotions, culminating in a historic move to League One.

As anticipation builds for the release of the new Deadpool film, fans eagerly await confirmation of the mysterious figure’s identity and potential ties to Wrexham AFC.
