Taylor Swift has made a generous donation of $100,000 to a GoFundMe campaign established for the family of Lisa Lopez-Galvan, the Kansas City radio DJ tragically killed during the recent mass shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs’ victory parade on Feb. 14.

Swift’s Contribution

The pop icon, who shares a connection with the Kansas City Chiefs through her relationship with star tight end Travis Kelce, swiftly surpassed the initial $75,000 fundraising goal.

Her donations of $50,000 each were made just before she commenced the Australian leg of her Eras Tour in Melbourne. At the time of her contributions, the GoFundMe had already amassed over $177,000 from 1,400 donations.

Remembering Lopez-Galvan

Lopez-Galvan, a beloved 44-year-old DJ and mother of two, was described as an incredible family member and friend by those who knew her.

Her tragic loss has left a profound impact on her community, where she had been a fixture as a private mobile DJ for over 15 years and co-hosted “Taste of Tejano” on local station KKFI since March 2022.

In a statement, the station expressed deep sadness over Lopez-Galvan’s passing, emphasizing her significant contributions to their programming and the local music scene.

Support for the Family

The GoFundMe campaign was initiated to provide essential financial support to Lopez-Galvan’s grieving family as they navigate this unimaginable loss.

Donations poured in from individuals touched by her story, with contributions ranging from $5 to $100.

Swift’s heartfelt message accompanying her donation offered her deepest sympathies and condolences to the family, reflecting the widespread sentiment of support and solidarity expressed by the community.
